At ILI Digital, we partnered with TE Connectivity to develop advanced web applications for automotive design, with a focus on connectivity and high-speed data link simulation. The goal was to provide TE's clients with robust tools to design custom connectors, simulate data links, and customize products to specific requirements. Our strategy centered around creating intuitive, performance-focused applications hosted on load-balanced servers for reliability and speed.
With a technology stack incorporating .Net Core, Unity3D, React with TypeScript, AWS, and Jenkins, this project achieved an accessible yet powerful platform for TE’s diverse user base, enabling them to innovate and visualize their concepts effectively.
Project Goals
Enable TE’s clients to create personalized connector products.
Simulate high-speed data links with accurate channel simulations.
Offer customization options for product design, including color, engraving, and performance settings.
Build a NET-AX+ 3D model builder for hybrid connectors.
Solution Strategy
To address these goals, we developed several key tools:
Configurator: A three-step product builder where users select components, choose performance settings, and finalize configurations with custom colors and engravings.
Data Connectivity Simulation: A simulation environment for high-speed data links, featuring reporting, comparison, and easy visualization adjustments.
Temperature Simulation: An on-demand simulation library allowing clients to access tailored simulation models and generate detailed reports.
NET-AX+ Builder: A real-time 3D builder tool that empowers users to create and visualize hybrid connectors, supported by an extensive library of 3D models.
